“Action is a great restorer and builder of confidence. Inaction is not only the result, but the cause, of fear.” – Norman Vincent Peale

In this time of constant, swift change, exacerbated by uncertainty over government actions, there is a temptation to sit and wait for things to get better.

After all, we don’t really know what impact the next diktat will have or when it will be imposed, and we’re still having to battle a range of new competitors, market conditions and previous regulations, so is it not better to simply wait and ride out the proverbial storm?

The problem with riding out a storm having constantly changing wind and sea directions is it’s likely to end in disaster as a wave from a new direction can sink you. Rather keep under power, facing into the waves, and push through until the storm subsides, as it will.

It’s much easier to cope with changes when you’re under way, so take action now, and don’t hope to just wait it out.
