“Don’t should all over yourself” – Tony Robbins

It’s the time of year when many of us make our resolutions for the next year – although in some cases it seems to be more a case of taking out last year’s list, blowing off the dust and saying, “I REALLY should do this in the new year.”

Which brings me on to Tony Robbins’ great expression…

This year, turn those “Shoulds” into “Musts.” And remember, SMART goals will always be more achievable:

S – Specific

M – Measurable

A – Attainable

R – Relevant

T – Time-bound

Of course, you need to ensure that you have the right foundations to achieve your goals – just as the foundations for a skyscraper must be so much bigger than those of a house – otherwise they will likely be little more than dreams.

So, frame your goals properly, make achieving them a priority and look forward to 2021 being a truly great year, rather than “2020 Won.”
